Sabres' Neuvirth out 'longer than day-to-day' with lower-body injury

The Buffalo Sabres' win over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday was marred by the loss of goaltender Michal Neuvirth.

After the game, head coach Ted Nolan said Neuvirth would be examined further, but that his injury will be “longer than day-to-day.”

The injury is believed to have occurred when teammate Tyler Ennis collided with the netminder on a play where a Sharks goal was called off due to incidental contact caused by San Jose defenseman Justin Braun.

Neuvirth has posted a 3-5-1 record with a .920 save percentage in ten appearances this season.
