BYU's Taysom Hill: I plan on returning next season

BYU quarterback Taysom Hill, who is currently sidelined with a broken leg, has stated that he plans on rejoining the Cougars next season.

When asked directly if he would return for a senior season, he responded with, "Yeah, that’s the plan," according to Jay Drew of The Salt Lake Tribune.

On Oct. 3, just five games into his junior season, Hill suffered the season-ending injury during a 35-20 loss to Utah State.

Hill stated that going to BYU is the best option for him in many ways.

"I feel like all this conversation (about his departure) has been a media thing. I have had conversations about it, and stuff like that. But there’s more to life than football, and I am going to graduate inside the finance program next December, and for a lot of reasons, it doesn’t make sense to leave," Hill said.

Hill was looking like a Heisman candidate in the games leading up to his injury. He threw for 975 with seven touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 460 yards and eight more scores.
