New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis is a bona fide superstar at the ripe age of 21.

Davis scored a career-high 43 points on an efficient 16-of-23 shooting from the field. He chipped in with 11-of-12 shooting from the free-throw line and added 14 rebounds, two steals and two blocks on the night.

His effort led the Pelicans to a 106-94 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday.

The Jazz simply had no answer for Davis, as the frontline of Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter each proved to be no match for Davis' aggressiveness. On the play below, Davis simply outworks two Jazz bigs en route to the putback.

Point guard Jrue Holiday also chipped in with 19 point in the Pelicans' victory. The Jazz were led in scoring by swingman Gordon Hayward, who dropped 31 points in the loss.

The Pelicans did, however, lose shooting guard Eric Gordon to a shoulder injury. He did not return to the game.

The Pelicans improved to 6-5 on the season with the win, whereas the Jazz dropped to 5-8.
