Toronto Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos recently suggested he won't pursue any of the premier relief pitchers on the free-agent market, but the executive is reportedly keeping his eye on at least one marquee closer.

The Blue Jays haven't ruled out the possibility of pursuing David Robertson, who has also drawn interest from the Houston Astros and New York Yankees, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

Robertson, however, is reportedly seeking a $50-million contract this winter and is likely to receive a four-year deal despite being attached to draft-pick compensation. Heyman also reported Sunday that the 29-year-old has already received a three-year offer worth around $39 million.

An ineffective bullpen was one of Toronto's biggest weaknesses last season. The club's relief corps crafted a 4.09 ERA, the fourth-worst mark in the American League. The loss of Casey Janssen, Dustin McGowan and Sergio Santos, meanwhile, has left the Blue Jays with few experienced arms at the back of their bullpen.

Robertson, an All-Star in 2011, collected 39 saves with a 3.08 ERA over 63 appearances for the Yankees last season, managing a career-best 37.1-percent strikeout rate in 64 1/3 innings.
