Lil B: Durant should surround himself with positive energy to fight Based God's Curse
With Kevin Durant nearing a return from the foot fracture that cost him his entire season so far, the man suspected to be responsible for the injury has some advice for the reigning MVP moving forward.
Lil B spoke with SLAM in an interview published Monday and once again opened up about hitting Durant with The Based God's Curse. For the first time, Lil B clarified - rather, he confused the issue more - that he is not the exact same as The Based God, and so while he's cool with Durant, he can't simply remove the Curse himself.
Lil B explained that difference, while also making it clear he (or The Based God) had nothing to do with the broken hand suffered by Russell Westbrook. He also had some advice for Durant within his explanation:
I as Lil B am totally cool with Durant. I’ve been forgave him. I love Durant and I love the NBA. The Based God is different, that is its own thing. As we can see with the injury and what is going on with the team … yo, shouts to Westbrook. I got no problem with Russell Westbrook. I’m a big fan of Westbook. You just got to be around that positive energy and Kevin Durant has to make sure he is around that positive energy. You know?
...
The curse is there, man. Like I said, I’ve been forgave Durant as Lil B but I can’t speak for the Based God.
At multiple times during the interview, Lil B also talked about potentially playing Durant one-on-one, something that was apparently on the table at one point but is no longer being discussed. Maybe the key here isn't being positive, or even apologizing for calling Lil B a wack rapper back in 2011, but simply vanquishing The Based God on the hardwood.
