76ers' Alexey Shved out vs. Timberwolves

Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports

Alexey Shved will have to wait a while longer to face his former team.

The Philadelphia 76ers guard will not be in the lineup against the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday after he was diagnosed with a left hip flexor.

Shved was dealt from the Sixers to the Wolves as part of the summer blockbuster that sent Kevin Love to Cleveland and Andrew Wiggins, Thaddeus Young and Anthony Bennett to Minnesota.

The 25-year-old has averaged 10.4 points, 3.3 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 17 minutes per game for the winless Sixers.

With Tony Wroten also out, Michael Carter-Williams, K.J. McDaniels and Hollis Thompson should all see increased minutes in the Philadelphia back court.
