Durant no longer concerned about re-injury: 'I'm still going to be aggressive'

Kevin Durant will remain on a 30-minute limit against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, but the reigning MVP said he's not concerned about re-injuring his right foot.

"Not at all," Durant said Wednesday, as reported by ESPN's Royce Young. "First two games I did, but I just realized if I'm out there playing, everything is all right. I'm still going to be aggressive like that going to the rim. I can live with whatever happens after that."

Durant has averaged 22 points on 49 percent shooting to go with 5.5 rebounds and four assists in four games since returning to the Oklahoma City Thunder following preseason surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot.

"I'm one of those guys that's going to play how I play if I'm out on the court," he added. "If I try to hold back and worry about what may happen, that's when I don't bring the edge I usually play with. Whatever happens, happens."

With Durant and Russell Westbrook back in the lineup, the Thunder have already closed to within three games of the Western Conference's eighth seed. And if they remain healthy, there's no reason to believe OKC won't get back into a playoff spot.
