Report: Nets to trade Kirilenko, future 2nd-round pick to Sixers; Kirilenko to be waived

The trade chatter involving Andrei Kirilenko has finally come to a head, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Kirilenko will then be waived by the Sixers.

The deal, which is expected to be finalized Thursday, will also include guard Jorge Gutierrez heading to Philadelphia, according to Wojnarowski.

Between falling out of coach Lionel Hollins' rotation and an undisclosed family matter, Kirilenko has logged only 36 minutes in seven appearances for the Nets this season.

The 33-year-old could still be an appealing option for contending teams looking for some versatility off the bench, however.

Getting Kirienko's $3,326,235 salary off the books will save the Nets nearly $11 million in luxury tax payments, according to Wojnarowski.

Davies has averaged 6.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 19 minutes per game this season. Guitierrez has logged 39 minutes over nine appearances for the Nets.
