Montana makes hiring of new head coach Bob Stitt official

Montana officially named Bob Stitt as the program's 36th head football coach Tuesday.

Stitt has served as the head coach of the Colorado School of Mines for the past 15 seasons, compiling a record of 108-62, with a 83-44 conference record.

Stitt guided the Orediggers to a 10-2 record this past season, qualifying for the NCAA Division II football playoffs.

Stitt will be formally introduced at a press conference on Friday, Dec. 19.
