Jabari Parker: Out For The Season With Torn ACL
Parker will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
Analysis:
This is obviously devastating news for Parker, the Bucks, the NBA and Parker's fantasy owners. He injured his knee in Monday's game, and the injury came when he was playing some of his best basketball of the season. In 25 games, Parker averaged 12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals while shooting 49 percent from the field and 69.7 percent from the line. While those in single-season leagues can cut bait with Parker, owners in dynasty leagues should hold the promising young forward. He will likely never be a superstar, but he could make multiple All-Star teams, and the fact that he was able to average more than a steal per game opens up the range of categories he could be an asset in down the road. He will need to work on his free-throw shooting and three-point shooting, as well as his rebounding, but right now the most important thing for Parker is that he is able to recover from this early setback in his NBA career. Look for Khris Middleton to be the primary beneficiary in terms of playing time and shots for the Bucks.
