Kobe Bryant sat Tuesday night as the Los Angeles Lakers hosted - and beat - the league-best Golden State Warriors

The Lakers won 115-105, with seven players finishing in double-digits in scoring, and improved to 9-19 on the season and 4-10 at home. The Warriors remain the Association's best team, sitting at 23-4 on the season and 13-3 away from the Bay Area.

Lakers coach Byron Scott had hinted about resting his 36-year-old star, who before Tuesday had yet to miss a game this season. Wayne Ellington started in Kobe's place.

The Lakers are in Chicago on Christmas Day to play the Bulls, and Bryant will be in the lineup, regardless of Tuesday's surprising outcome.
