Michael Ryder, Scott Clemmensen become latest NHL players to be diagnosed with mumps

Another day, another case of the mumps in the NHL.

The latest player to fall prey to the virus is New Jersey Devils forward Michael Ryder, the club confirmed Saturday.

Ryder is the fourth member of the Devils to test positive for the mumps - the 19th player overall - according to hockeystats.ca.

In 34 games, Ryder recorded four goals and 10 assists.

Update: Scott Clemmensen has also been diagnosed with the virus.
