Packers upset by Suh stepping on Rodgers
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh acknowledges that he's not in the business of making friends on the football field. After Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers, he's found himself a few big-name foes.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy had some sharp comments about the fourth-quarter incident where Suh stepped on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers's lower leg.
"I didn't see it live, I didn't see it on the Jumbotron, but from what I'm told, I'm told it was ridiculous. There's no place for that. That's where I'm at with it. I don't understand it, frankly," McCarthy said, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
Rodgers didn't hide his anger towards the fifth-year Lions player, who has a history of on-field incidents.
"He'll probably say it was an accident, he was getting blocked into him. That's what (referee) Walt Anderson said. But we'll see ... He was running off the field, I was talking to Walt actually. It was my calf and my ankle getting stepped on. So we'll see what happens."
Suh hasn't commented on the incident yet, but whenever a player of Rodgers's stature speaks out after an incident like that, all eyes tend to fall on the perpetrator.
