VIDEO: Nick Collison's handshake game is on-point

Kelley L Cox / USA Today Sports

Nick Collison is often mentioned among the NBA's best glue guys, someone who does all the little, unseen things that help the Oklahoma City Thunder win games.

Collison is the longest-tenured Thunder player (his tenure dating well into the Seattle SuperSonics days), so he's naturally assumed the stature of elder statesman. The responsibilities that come along with that role are surely manifold, but it's clear that one of them involves having the right handshake for every teammate.

Before Friday's game against the Washington Wizards, Collison fixed second-year center Steven Adams with an intense, stoic stare-down, before shifting seamlessly into what appeared to be a far more jovial embrace with Kevin Durant.

Why have I never seen Collison and Adams' handshake before?!

That's leadership.
