Jazz's Patrick Christopher suffers dislocated knee cap vs. Hawks
Poor Patrick Christopher.
The 26-year-old Utah Jazz rookie - who went undrafted out of California in 2010, then spent four years between Europe and the D-League before finally getting a chance with an NBA club this year - got the first start of his career on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks.
He played five minutes before dislocating his knee cap. Needless to say, he will not be returning.
Christopher was starting at shooting guard in place of fellow rookie Rodney Hood, who's been ruled out for at least a week due to a heel injury. Hood himself was replacing Alec Burks, who underwent season-ending shoulder surgery earlier in the week.
In short, if you're a serviceable basketball player who identifies as a "guard," the Utah Jazz may be interested in acquiring your services.
