Roberto Luongo 'fine' after being steamrolled by Ovechkin
Brad Mills / USA TODAY Sports
Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is hockey's pre-eminent power forward, so when he connects on a hit, he really connects.
Though Ovechkin got all of Florida Panthers netminder Roberto Luongo in a violent first-period collision on Sunday afternoon, Luongo appears to be no worse for wear - despite having sat for the third period as a precaution.
More than fine, Luongo is excited to be heading back to Vancouver to face his old mates this week:
Roberto Luongo says he's fine, excited to go back to Vancouver as a 'visitor.' Would like to say hello to a lot of people he misses there.
