Palermo president claims club rejected bid from Manchester United for Paulo Dybala

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is claiming that his club rejected an offer from Manchester United for 21-year-old striker Paulo Dybala.

In conversation with Radio Due, Zamparini, who has referred to Dybala as "the new Sergio Aguero," stated that United were one of many clubs to place an offer for the Argentine prodigy, adding that No. 9 is not for sale just yet.

"Dybala is worth over €40 million (£31 million) but I won't sell him until June," Zamparini said, according to the Guardian. "Many foreign clubs asked after him, including Manchester United.

"I told the English side that he is not for sale right now, but we can talk about it again in six months. In my view, he is the best striker in Europe at the moment."

Although it's slightly ridiculous to suggest that Dybala is currently the top striker on the continent, his nine goals and six assists through 17 appearances indicate that a move to a bigger club will likely happen during the summer transfer window.
