Tobias Harris to return for Magic after 5-game absence
The Orlando Magic will get a needed boost Wednesday when they take on the suddenly streaking Detroit Pistons.
Magic forward Tobias Harris, sidelined for the past five games due to a left ankle sprain, will return to the lineup Wednesday. He's expected to be used off the bench, rather than in his usual starter's role.
In the five games Harris missed, the Magic went 2-3, but notched impressive back-to-back wins over the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets, while experimenting with more uptempo lineups. They crashed back down to earth on Monday when they suffered a 28-point shellacking at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Harris has broken out in his fourth NBA season, averaging a career-high 18 points per game while shooting his best percentages from the field (47.1) and 3-point range (40.5).
Forward Moe Harkless was deactivated to make room for Harris on the active roster.
