Indians' Kluber on extension: 'That's not my job to worry about that'

Cleveland Indians right-hander Corey Kluber enters the 2015 season as the reigning AL Cy Young winner, but talks of an extension don't appear to be on the horizon.

"Not that I know of," Kluber told Zack Meisel of the Cleveland Plain Dealer when asked if there had been any talks regarding an extension.

"That's not my job to worry about that. My job is to go out there and pitch. I have agents that can handle that stuff for me when the time comes. My job is to get prepared to play this season."

The 28-year-old finished last season with an 18-9 record and 2.44 ERA - costing the Indians all of $514,000.

Kluber remains under team control through 2018 and is likely to receive a hefty raise when he becomes eligible for arbitration at the end of this season should he continue to pitch effectively.
