Richard Sherman: Every NFL employee should be 'obligated to speak' to media

Joe Camporeale / USA TODAY Sports

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman doesn't necessarily agree with teammate Marshawn Lynch's strategy of media avoidance.

"Every one of the NFL's personnel should be obligated to speak weekly," Sherman told reporters at Tuesday's Media Day. Moments earlier, Lynch bolted from the podium after five minutes of non-answers.

Sherman mentioned NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as someone he wants to see become more transparent in his dealings with the media.

Sherman went on to double down on his comments about Goodell's close relationship with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his earlier suggestion that it's unlikely Goodell will want to punish the Patriots for the "Deflategate" scandal.

"How many other owners has he hung out with, taken pictures with?" Sherman mused.
