Oregon offers scholarship to Eastern Washington's Vernon Adams
Oregon has extended a scholarship offer to Eastern Washington quarterback Vernon Adams.
Although he's from the FCS, it doesn't take away from the fact that the redshirt junior out of Pasadena, Calif., is one of the most decorated players in Big Sky Conference history.
But a conversation with Oregon is just that, with nothing set in stone as of yet, according to Jim Allen of The Spokesman-Review.
"They told me a lot of things I wanted to hear," said Adams, the Big Sky's most valuable player.

Adams holds most every quarterback record Eastern has to offer, albeit while playing out of the spotlight. A shift to Eugene would make him the center of attention while putting his skill on display to guide Oregon to a second consecutive CFP National Championship birth.
Adams only has one year of eligibility remaining. Following graduation, however, he can transfer anywhere and play as a graduate transfer, making him immediately eligible.
Coincidentally, Eastern Washington and Oregon will open the 2015 season against each other on Sept. 5.
"I'm not saying I'm leaving Eastern, but I'm just going to check it out and see what they have to say," Adams said, adding that he won't go down for his visit to Oregon just for the sake of it.
He plans on showing what he can do and why he deserves to be the go-to guy for a perennial FBS powerhouse.
"I'm not going there to be a walk-on or a second-stringer," he said. "But if I do go down there, I'm going to work my butt off."
