Alessandro Matri returns to Juventus on season-long loan

A familiar face is back at Juventus.

The club announced Monday that striker Alessandro Matri has been signed on a season-long loan from Genoa. Matri returns to Turin after winning two Serie A titles with the Bianconeri between 2011 and 2013.

The move was facilitated by the sale of Sebastian Giovinco, whom Juventus confirmed is leaving for Toronto FC immediately - and not at the end of the season as initially thought.
