Report: Evander Kane skipped Jets game Tuesday after incident with teammates
Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane failed to arrive on time for the team's game against the Vancouver Canucks earlier this week as a result of an incident with Dustin Byfuglien and other teammates, according to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet.

This is contrary to earlier reports that Kane was made a healthy scratch by head coach Paul Maurice, who said after the team's 3-2 loss it was his decision to sit Kane.
According to the report, Kane wasn't on the team bus to Rogers Arena and missed a pre-game meeting. The team wasn't able to reach Kane until approximately an hour before game time, when he answered his cell phone and said he wouldn't play that night.
Earlier in the day, Kane was reportedly involved in an incident with teammates after he wore a track suit to a team gathering, a violation of team policy.
As Renaud Lavoie of TVA explains, Kane was in a track suit because he thought the meeting was at the hotel, not the arena; upon realizing his mistake, he didn't have time to go back and change.
Byfuglien later threw Kane's clothes into the shower in an effort to send a message to his teammate.
Kane wasn't seen by anyone involved with the team again until a charter flight took them back to Winnipeg.
Kane wasn't at practice Thursday, which Maurice chalked up to the 23-year-old meeting with doctors.
Multiple reports have Kane playing through injury. TSN's Bob McKenzie writes:
Kane has been playing with and battling through myriad injuries this season. He came back early from an MCL sprain. He has played with fractured bones in two separate injuries. He also has another season-long injury that quite likely will require off-season surgery, if not sooner. Kane is currently seeing doctors and getting imaging to determine his playing status and/or course of action.
