Gordie Howe honored by fellow NHL legends
Hockey legend Gordie Howe made his first public appearance Friday since suffering a significant stroke last year, and he was joined by NHL royalty.
A rejuvenated Mr. Hockey attended a celebrity dinner in Saskatoon, Sask., featuring the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Bobby and Brett Hull, Lanny McDonald and the Stanley Cup.
The 86-year-old Howe appeared to be in dire straits last fall, but underwent a stem cell procedure in Mexico that his family credited for a surprising and remarkable recovery.
Howe looked to be in good spirits and good health.
