LeBron concedes that tweet was intended for Love
When LeBron James tweets, people listen. So when the Cleveland Cavalier star tweeted late Saturday night, rumors swirled that he was directing his ire at teammate Kevin Love.
At first LeBron denied that the tweet was in reference to Love despite the similarties between comments from Love prior to the season and the words used in the tweet. However, following Cleveland's 120-105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, he conceded the tweet was directed as his teammate.
"It's not a coincidence, man," James told reporters following the win.
Love has yet to find the kind of success with the Cavaliers (at least statistically) that he achieved with the Minnesota Timberwolves and there's no shortage of people who believe he will opt to leave Cleveland as a free agent at the end of the season. The most frequently referenced landing spot is with the Lakers, though Love said Sunday there's no way he sees himself in L.A. next year.
In the win over the Lakers, Love had one of his best games as a Cav, notching a season-high 32 points while adding 10 rebounds. It was Cleveland's 13th win in the last 14 games and if that kind of success continues, LeBron likely won't have to resort to inspiring his teammates through Twitter any more.
