Boston College has promoted wide receivers coach Todd Fitch to offensive coordinator, according to Sports Illustrated's Thayer Evans.

Former Florida assistant Brian White will fill the wide receivers coach vacancy.

Fitch will succeed Ryan Day, who left his role last month to become the quarterbacks coach with the Philadelphia Eagles

This won't be Fitch's first round as an offensive coordinator, though. He held the same position at South Florida (2010-12), East Carolina (2009-10) and Connecticut (1996-98).

White also has offensive coordinator experience, spending almost a decade at Wisconsin (1999-2006) and one season at Syracuse (2006-07).

Boston College emerged as a sleeper team in the ACC in 2014, pulling together a 7-6 record in what should have been a rebuilding year.
