Team Bosh wins 3rd consecutive NBA All-Star Shooting Stars competition

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

There is no defeating Team Bosh in the NBA All-Star Shooting Stars competition. It just doesn't happen.

For the third consecutive year, the team of Chris Bosh, Dominique Wilkins and Swin Cash took the event home. After posting a ridiculous first-round time of 30.8 seconds, Team Bosh struggled in relative terms in the final. Their 57.6-second finish was still more than enough to top Team Westbrook, who didn't finish their final round.

Team Round One Finals
Team Bosh 30.8 57.6
Team Westbrook 35.2 Did Not Finish
Team Curry 47.0 -
Team Millsap 51.4 -

Russell Westbrook, Penny Hardaway and Tamika Catchings had a great first-round time of 35.2 seconds, thanks in large part to Hardaway hitting the team's first half-court attempt. But Team Bosh's first round was truly impressive, with the trio hitting their four shots in very short order. And they did so just dripping in swagger, as two-time defending champions should.

The event requires each team to hit a close two, a two from the top of the key, a wing three and a half-court shot. It also requires the winners to mean mug like crazy.

Team Curry came in as the favorites, armed with the father-son duo of Steph Curry and Dell Curry, plus Sue Bird, but disappointed. Paul Millsap, Scottie Pippen and Elena Delle Donne were rightfully never given much of a chance.

TEAM ODDS
Curry +180
Westbrook +210
Bosh +270
Millsap +290

Next year, with the event in Bosh's former town of Toronto, nobody should be betting on anybody but the three-time, three-time, three-time champions.
