Ducks' Beleskey, Vatanen leave game vs. Capitals with injuries

The Anaheim Ducks lost a forward and a defenseman in the first period of Sunday's game against the Washington Capitals.
Ducks forward Matt Beleskey and defenseman Sami Vatanen both went into the boards awkwardly on separate plays in the opening frame and left for the dressing room.
The club provided an update at the start of the second period, calling Beleskey's ailment an upper-body injury and Vatanen's one of the lower-body variety.
They did not return to Sunday's game, and head coach Bruce Boudreau said he had no update on their conditions after the contest.
