Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports
Life without Carmelo Anthony begins Friday night for the New York Knicks.
Anthony underwent successful left knee surgery Thursday, the club announced. The procedure - patella tendon debridement - comes with a 4-to-6 month recovery time.
The Knicks are winless without Anthony this season, losers of all 13 games they've played without him. They face the Miami Heat on Friday.
