Report: Flames, Glencross working to move veteran to Stanley Cup contender

Sergei Belski / USA TODAY Sports

The Calgary Flames are working with Curtis Glencross to facilitate a trade to a Stanley Cup contender before the March 2 trade deadline, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported on Hockey Night in Canada's "Headlines" segment.

Glencross, who owns a no-movement clause in his contract, has reportedly granted the Flames permission to negotiate with the Los Angeles Kings, Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators, Chicago Blackhawks and the Anaheim Ducks - who were the first team on his wishlist.

The winger, intent on cashing in on the open market, has seemingly priced himself out of the Flames' future plans.
