Christian may have given his stock a major jump after his performance on the bench press. The 28 reps could vault the Louisville product up the board a few rounds after some had him slotted as a late-round pick. Strength is a good indication that Christian may be able to help a team as a blocker at the next level.
James, O'Leary and Walford cemented their reputations as tight ends to watch in the draft with strong performances on Thursday.
Other Notable Performances
- Maxx Williams, Minnesota - 17 reps
- Blake Bell, Oklahoma - 14 reps
Williams is considered by many to be the top tight end is this year's draft and is a tremendous athlete, so it was a little troubling to see him finish that far down the list when it came to strength.
Bell is a former quarterback that is still learning the position. It's clear improving his power is something he needs to work on.
