Hawaii running back Iosefa outpaced the rest of the field, showing off the strength that may force him to become a fullback at the NFL level.
Zenner and Johnson both showed off the kind of strength that fits their larger frames. Both will have to run fast enough in the 40 to prove they have the burst that accompanies their strength.
Other Notable Performances
- Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska - 24 reps
- Tevin Coleman, Indiana - 22 reps
- Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin - 19 reps
- Jay Ajayi, Boise St. - 19 reps
- Todd Gurley, Minnesota - 17 reps
With the exception of Miami's Duke Johnson all of the top running backs participated in the bench press. None of them embarrassed themselves and Abdullah put up a solid 24 reps to show off his upper body strength.
