- After rescheduling their title fight three different times, Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort will finally (fingers crossed) square off for the middleweight strap at UFC 187 in May.
- Anderson Silva's triumphant return against Nick Diaz at UFC 183 was immediately wiped away after it was revealed the MMA great had tested positive for multiple performance-enhancing drugs.
- In what is likely a title-eliminator, Lyoto Machida will exchange heavy leather with Luke Rockhold at UFC on FOX 15 in April. Since losing via highlight-reel knockout to Vitor Belfort in 2013, Rockhold has strung together three consecutive stoppage victories over Costas Philippou, Tim Boetsch and Michael Bisping. Machida, who lost a unanimous decision to the champion Weidman at UFC 175, bounced back in his last outing in December, scoring a scintillating body-kick TKO victory over C.B. Dollaway.
