- Joanna Jedrzejczyk will look to dethrone UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza when the two women meet at UFC 185 in March. Jedrzejczyk earned her shot at Esparza with a split-decision victory over Claudia Gadelha at UFC on FOX 13.
- Alexa Grasso burst into the top ten with an impressive unanimous-decision victory over Mizuki Inoue at Invicta 11 in late February. The three-round scrap was so compelling, UFC president Dana White said it belonged on a UFC main card.
