Senators' Hammond to eat free at McDonald's for life
Andrew Hammond isn't the only one profiting off his rise.
Given the free publicity he's offered McDonald's, the Ottawa Senators goaltender - nicknamed "The Hamburglar" - will eat free at six of the fast-food chain's locations in the Ottawa area for life.
Hammond's association with McDonald's came to its height when he scooped up a hamburger tossed onto the ice after his tenth win in his first 11 starts.
Though he's appreciative of the gesture, he admitted he'll have to be careful with his gateway through the golden arches.
"I'm thinking they have that new light menu, with all the salad and stuff," Hammond told the Ottawa Sun. "I guess at the end of the day at least I know I'll never end up starving. If hockey doesn't work out, I have a meal plan."
