10 | Roy Nelson |
- Alistair Overeem built the first winning streak of his Octagon career at UFC 185 in March, brutally tenderizing Roy Nelson's midsection with knees and kicks en route to a unanimous decision victory.
- Stipe Miocic and Mark Hunt will have the chance to climb back into the title picture when they exchange fists and pleasantries at a Fight Night event in May. Hunt failed in his attempt to capture the interim title against Fabricio Werdum last November, while Miocic fell to former division kingpin Junior dos Santos at UFC on FOX 13 in December.
- One title to rule them all. Cain Velasquez is set to put his heavyweight strap on the line against interim champion Fabricio Werdum at UFC 188 in Mexico City. The two men were originally scheduled to square off in November, but Velasquez was forced out with a knee injury, necessitating an interim title bout between Werdum and Hunt.
- Andrei Arlovski will try to continue his unlikely career renaissance against top-five heavyweight Travis Browne at UFC 187 in May. Browne was on the precipice of a title shot until he was bounced by Werdum last April, and could find himself back in the championship picture with a few big wins in 2015.
