Green is boring.
In recent years, some college football programs have begun to do away with the regular, green turf.
Coastal Carolina is the latest to do so, as the Chanticleers are in the midst of installing a brand new teal field.
Carolina isn't the first school to implement school-colored turf. Boise State is famous for its 'Smurf Turf' - an entirely blue field.
Eastern Washington also has its hand in for one of the more unique turfs in the nation.
