Bucks select Rashad Vaughn with 17th pick in NBA Draft

The Milwaukee Bucks selected UNLV shooting guard Rashad Vaughn with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft on Thursday night.

Here's hoping there's an extra bedroom in Giannis Antetokounmpo's house. Vaughn's commitment to improving is a major reason why he - at just 18 years old - moved up draft boards after the college season ended - he ranked 30th in Chad Ford's final mock draft and 22nd per DraftExpress.

At his age, with his natural scoring ability and work ethic, it's not difficult to picture major upside, which can't be said for a lot of names left on the board. And Vaughn should jive well with the Bucks' youth movement.

After trading for Greivis Vasquez earlier in the night, the Bucks pick up a second combo guard here, in a continued effort to bolster their outside shooting. Vaughn averaged 17.8 points as a freshman, hitting 38.3 percent from outside.

There are questions about whether he can maintain efficiency as the competition level increases out of the Mountain West, and he doesn't have the measurements of an above-average defender - but Vaughn's potential as a scoring guard is enticing.
