The Greivis Vasquez trade is now complete.
The Milwaukee Bucks selected UCLA shooting guard Norman Powell with the No. 46 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft on Thursday, and they've flipped him and a future first-round pick to the Toronto Raptors for Vasquez.
It took Powell four years to start knocking down threes with any consistency, and while a 31.9-percent mark remains uninspiring, word is he's shot the ball well throughout the pre-draft process. If he can knock down open looks consistently, the 22-year-old - who took major leaps forward in his junior and senior seasons - could become a solid rotation player at the next level.
The Raptors appear sold on his 3-and-D potential, but they could opt to send him overseas for a year like they did with DeAndre Daniels in the second round a year ago.
An excellent athlete with a 6-foot-10.75 wingspan and NBA-ready body, Powell consistently drew tough perimeter assignments in the Pac-12 and profiles as a quality NBA wing defender. He was probably worth a second-round look just for that skill, and any apparent offensive development is a bonus.
