Blues' Shattenkirk creates list of his elite defensemen
Billy Hurst / USA TODAY Sports
The St. Louis Blues have an elite defenseman of their own in Kevin Shattenkirk, who has solidifed the blueline for his team since arriving in a trade from the Colorado Avalanche in 2011.
Shattenkirk took a page out of the book of Logan Couture and created a list of the most elite defensemen in the NHL for The Players' Tribune.
The choices are obvious ones, but the more interesting part of his story is Shattenkirk's breakdown of each player's skill sets, which makes for an interesting read.
Shattenkirk also announces at the end of the article that he'll return with a second part in the series, when he'll list his best offensive defensemen.
