Duke guard Tyus Jones was named Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four after the Blue Devils defeated Wisconsin 68-63 to win the national championship.
Jones' game-high 23 points Monday, including 19 in the second half, were the most ever by a Duke freshman in a national championship game, according to ESPN.
He proved dependable shooting from the field and the line, going 7-of-7 from the charity stripe - a key to Duke's comeback in the second half.
Jones flexed his muscles beyond the arc, too, going 2-of-3, including knocking down a smooth 3-pointer with a little more than five minutes left in the game to give Duke a one-point lead.
