Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris released the music video for his new track "Beast Mode" on Wednesday, starring Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.
The video opens with Ludacris fielding questions from reporters and responding with Lynch's infamous line, "I'm just here so I won't get fined."
Ludacris explained the meaning behind the song in a recent interview with ESPN's "His and Hers."
"The same way he's plowing down people on the field, I'm plowing down people in the music industry and all these rappers," Ludacris told hosts Michael Smith and Jemele Hill. "It's a song that has no hook, it's three minutes of just metaphors and just going in."
