Western Conference playoff scenarios
The 2014-15 NBA season has seen 1,216 games played over 169 days, yet on the 14-game final night of the regular season, there are still two playoff spots up for grabs and only one postseason matchup already set.

The compact Western Conference, especially, remains a blur with only hours remaining in the season.
Here are all of the potential West scenarios to monitor on Wednesday.
Golden State Warriors: The Warriors have already clinched the league's No. 1 overall seed and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, making their game against the Denver Nuggets meaningless.
San Antonio Spurs: The Spurs can clinch the West's No. 2 seed - and a first-round rematch with the Dallas Mavericks - with a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. That's the simple part for San Antonio.
A loss, on the other hand, could see the defending champs slot into the No. 3, 5 or 6 seeds, with first-round matchups against the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers all still on the table.
Los Angeles Clippers: The Clippers have already completed their regular season with a 56-26 record and have clinched a top-three seed. They can move up to No. 2 if the Spurs (vs. New Orleans) and Rockets (vs. Utah) both lose on Wednesday.
Portland Trail Blazers: As Northwest Division champions who are guaranteed to finish worse than the best second-place team, the Blazers are locked into the No. 4 seed, but without home-court advantage in the first round.
Portland can still face any of the Rockets, Grizzlies, Clippers or Spurs in the first round, but Wednesday's game against Dallas won't factor into that.
Houston Rockets: The Rockets can clinch their first division crown in 21 years and the No. 2 seed with a win over Utah and a Spurs loss to New Orleans. If the Rockets and Spurs both win, Houston will finish fifth and host a first-round matchup against the Blazers. A loss to Utah will see Houston finish either fifth or sixth.
Overall. the Rockets can still possibly match up with the Mavericks, Grizzlies, Blazers, Clippers or Spurs in the first round.
Memphis Grizzlies: Despite leading the Southwest Division for the majority of the season, the Grizzlies no longer control their own destiny and cannot win the division crown. If the Spurs and Rockets both win, or if the Grizzlies simply lose at home to the desperate Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, they'll finish sixth and renew their playoff rivalry with the Clippers.
If the Grizzlies win and one of San Antonio or Houston lose, however, the Grizzlies will move up to fifth and play the Blazers.
Dallas Mavericks: The Mavs are locked into the No. 7 seed and will open the postseason against one of the Spurs, Clippers or Rockets.
New Orleans Pelicans: Thanks to Anthony Davis's buzzer-beater and the team's season series victory over the Thunder, the Pelicans will clinch the eighth and final playoff spot with a win over the Spurs or a Thunder loss (to Minnesota).
Oklahoma City Thunder: OKC needs to beat the Timberwolves and have the Spurs take down the Pelicans in order to clinch a sixth straight postseason trip.
