Kenny Bayless is going to be a very busy man come May 2.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission appointed Bayless as the referee for the May superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Bayless was one of six referees up for the bout and was selected by the commission with a vote of 5-0.
Bayless is very familiar with both fighters, having worked Mayweather fights against Canelo Alvarez, Oscar De La Hoya and Marcos Maidana among others, while also serving as referee for Pacquiao tilts with Timothy Bradley, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and more.
The commission also appointed the three judges for the welterweight title fight: Burt Clements, Dave Moretti and Glenn Feldman.
