Nets' Joe Johnson: 'I don't see us coming back with the same team next year'
Change is coming in the air, Joe Johnson feels it.
After the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Atlanta Hawks in Friday's Game 6, Brooklyn's small forward spoke to the media on Saturday about how he expects the squad to be shaken up next season.
"I don't see us coming back with the same team next year," said Johnson.
The second highest scorer on the Nets, posting 14.4 points per game during the regular season, Johnson averaged 16.5 points, eight rebounds, and 4.6 assists to help keep his team alive until the bitter end.
Yet even he acknowledges that he is not safe from a roster chop.
When asked about potential roster changes, Johnson was candid: "I don't think anyone is indispensable, and that includes me."
The Nets, who finished eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 38-44 record, are already starting to look different. Alan Anderson has stated that he will test out the free agent market, and it is suspected that Brook Lopez intends to jump ship, as Brooklyn's assistant was seen pleading with him to stay with the team.
