Former Kentucky baller Willie Cauley-Stein adds 'Trill' to his name
Willie Cauley-Stein knows exactly what he is on the hardwood: True and real. Or, Trill.
The former Kentucky center legally added the nickname, commonly used by his friends, to his middle name on Friday, according to Hannah Scheller of The Lexington Herald-Leader.
Born Willie Durmond Cauley Jr., the 21-year-old filed an order in the Fayette District court Probate Division to not only add the middle name, but to legally change his last name.
"I want to include my mother's last name," Cauley-Stein gave as the reason for the change.
His mother, Marlene Stein, said that the addition of "Trill" was not planned, but that her son made the decision because he was at the courthouse already.
Projected by DraftExpress to go No. 6 in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft, any team that grabs the big man will surely capitalize on the name change.
Willie Trill. Big Trill. Willie Trillie. The possibilities are endless.
