VIDEO: Curry caps big quarter with filthy pull-up 3, becomes fastest to 100 playoff triples
In Game 4, the uncharacteristically cold shooting of the league's MVP returned to form. In Game 5, the Memphis Grizzlies are playing without one of their best tools for containing him.
Sometimes life - and especially life as an opponent of Steph Curry - isn't fair.
With Tony Allen sidelined and unable to chase him under, over, around and through a never-ending maze of screens, Curry opened Game 5 red hot for the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. Of course, he doesn't always need those screens, and he capped a 12-point first quarter with his trademark Steph-back jumper:
Poor Beno Udrih doesn't stand a chance, and Curry's theatrics have already turned Oracle Arena back into the madhouse it's grown a reputation for being. Curry shot 4-of-6 - all attempts from long-range - in the quarter, grabbing two rebounds and three steals for good measure, and the Warriors led 26-25 at the break.
Curry, by the way, is now the fastest player ever to 100 career playoff threes, doing so in 28 games and in 92 attempts. That should surprise exactly nobody.
