Another day, another wild crash in Indianapolis.
A day after three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves went airborne during a practice session at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it was the car of Josef Newgarden taking flight on Thursday.
Like Castroneves, Newgarden lost control in Turn 1, and, after hitting the wall, had his car flip upside-down, leaving a trail of debris. He has since been released from the infield medical center and is cleared to drive.
With Fast Friday remaining the final day of practice, all drivers should be advised to watch out for banana peels as they enter the first turn at Indy.
