The eight-time NBA All-Star sprained his left knee in Game 1 after colliding with teammate Josh Smith.
"I don't even want to think of it as an injury," said Howard when asked about his knee.
The Rockets trail 2-0 in the series after a heartbreaking 99-98 defeat at Oracle Arena on Thursday.
Howard had a monster 19-point, 17-rebound double-double in that game, and is averaging 13 points and 15 rebounds on 61.1 percent shooting for the series.
