Lil B opens up about The BasedGod's Curse, will be at Game 5: 'Harden's just getting the rough end'
The Houston Rockets are hoping James Harden can do what he did against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night again on Wednesday, despite Lil B's curse hanging over his head.
While most probably don't believe in curses, nobody wants bad vibes around them, least of all when they're trying to keep their season alive. And as much as the idea of The BasedGod's Curse may seem farcical, the results over the past calendar year are scary: The rapper's curse was followed quickly by a serious injury for Kevin Durant, and not only a malfunction on the final play of Game 2 for Harden, but a terrible Game 3 as well.
For additional insight into the working's of the curse, Bay Area News Group secured a phone interview with the Bay Area native. Lil B, who preaches a message of love, tolerance, and positivity, doesn't want to curse others but needs to protect his intellectual property.
I’ve seen a lot of people stealing from what I do. Some people show love and say thank you and tell me how I was an inspiration for them. So Harden’s just getting the rough end.
The real chef, that’s Lil B. I got love for Chef Curry. Shout out to Stephen Curry. But it all started from the Lil B cooking dance.
The free pass for Steph Curry is understandable since Lil B is a Warriors fan, which is another reason for Rockets fans to be weary of their team's chances of coming back in the series.
Making matters worse for Rockets fans: Lil B will be in attendance at Game 5 at Oracle Arena on Wednesday night. The rapper and producer has no plans to talk to The Beard, though.
Lil B said:
I really don’t have to say anything. I’m all over. I’m on your publication, I’m on ESPN, FOX Sports, CBS Sports, ESPN’s "His and Hers," SportsCenter, and if James Harden doesn’t watch that stuff, then I don’t really know if he loves the game
Shots fired. On top of the curse. Lil B is ruthless.
As for those who don't think the curse is real?
"We wouldn't be talking if it wasn't," Lil B said.
Tread lightly, NBA players.
